In Gremca S.A., we received the FSS

(Food Security Standard) certificate

At the XV Regional Dialogue of the ISCC (International Sustainability Carbon Certification) for interest parties from Latin America, held on August 30, 2023, in the city of Bogota – Colombia. The purpose of the FSS (Food Security Standard) certificate is to promote food security in agricultural value chains.

Food and nutritional security is the sufficient and stable availability of food, immediate access, timely manner and permanent consumption in quantity, quality and safety by and for all people, under the conditions that allow its adequate biological use to maintain a healthy and active life. (CONPES 113, 2008).

The international certificate of food and safety FSS means getting closer every day to fulfilling the vision and strategic objectives of the company framed in being a sustainable and efficient place in the growth of our operations.

At the same time, being certified allows us to contribute as both as an organisation and a private sector to the achievement of the second sustainable development goal, ZERO HUNGER, at a production level of global agricultural chains, taking into account the global food crisis and the increase of the numbers worldwide, where the amount of people affected by hunger has increased to 150 million in the last two years.

With this acknowledgement, we continue to prove once more our commitment to the sustainability of the sector and a social responsibility with our collaborators, co-workers and with the local communities of the municipalities of Algarrobo and El Copey.

We are proud to be the first in the world to obtain this important certificate.

We thank the entire team of collaborators, co-workers, farmers and managers for their performance and effort to achieve the respective goals that we set for ourselves on a daily basis within the framework of the sustainability action plan.

We are GREMCA S.A. , Agriculture & SUSTAINABLE Energy.
